Want to break down where you spend your time on a typical day? Need to keep track of how much time you spend at remote client offices, or work sites?
Localyzer uses new features in iOS 5 to accurately track when you enter and exit a set of locations you define. It does this continuously, in the background, without rapidly draining the battery on your device. It then provides a log and several different graph views showing the amount of time you spent in your locations.
Key features include:
- Define a set of locations you want to track, and record when you enter or exit each location and the amount of time spent there, continuously and in the background.
- Show bar plots of total time spent in each location on each day, as well as a pie chart showing time spent in different locations over different time periods.
- View a log of all of your location activity, and download you activity as a CSV file.
Because Localyzer uses Location Monitoring APIs, it requires an iPhone 4 or later running iOS 5.0 (in particular, iPhone 3 and 3GS are not supported.)
Localyzer does all of this on your device -- it does not transmit any information about your locations or the places you have visited to our servers. Your location history will only be sent outside of the app if you explicitly email it.
Note that Localyzer does run in the background, and that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
